Sam Ward promoted to Senior Acoustic Consultant

November 04, 2025

We’re delighted to announce that Sam Ward has recently been promoted to Senior Acoustic Consultant.

Sam joined Create in 2019 as an Acoustic Engineer before progressing to Acoustic Consultant in 2023. Over the past six years, he has combined his technical expertise with a strong commitment to professional growth. He has completed a master’s degree in Applied Acoustics and achieved full Member status with the Institute of Acoustics (MIOA).

As a core member of our Acoustics team, Sam has played a key role in supporting projects across the UK, specialising in field work and the installation of permanent and semi-permanent noise and vibration monitoring equipment. He also undertakes a wide range of site-based noise surveys and assessments, applying a dynamic and adaptable approach that ensures flexibility and reliability for our clients. Sam has also recently completed his EUSR BESC training to work on UKPN electrical distribution sites.

Often working independently in the field, Sam has consistently demonstrated professionalism, efficiency and a clear drive to develop his skills at every opportunity.

In addition to his work at Create, Sam represents the next generation of acoustic professionals as Young Members Representative for the Institute of Acoustics Eastern Branch, a position he took on in March 2024.

In his new role as Senior Acoustic Consultant, Sam will lead increasingly more complex projects and play a notably larger role in the business, supporting bids and proposals, and helping develop new business opportunities. He will also take on a mentorship role, as the team seeks to expand with the addition of a junior or graduate consultant soon for our Chelmsford office.

“I am thrilled to report that Sam has received this promotion, after some sterling efforts over the past six years, on some really complex sites. Sam has continued to shine and is truly a valued member of our Acoustics team.  Congratulations Sam, very well deserved!”
