Jody Blacklock

Technical Director

Jody is a Chartered Engineer and Acoustic Consultant with over 20 years’ experience. He is the Technical Director responsible for the output and performance of our Acoustics team.

Jody has fronted a number of projects since joining the business in 2017, the success of which has led to the development of a repeat client base. He has an extensive knowledge of noise and vibration, and is adept at noise modelling and the completion of noise impact assessments. When required, Jody can also act as an Expert Witness.

In March 2024, Jody was voted by other acoustic professionals into the role of Chair of the Institute of Acoustics Eastern Branch. He also sits on the board of the Engineering Council and is STEM Ambassador.

Jody’s experience of delivering acoustic services for a wide variety of clients makes him the ideal person to take overall leadership responsibilities for the delivery of all acoustic aspects on a scheme. He is a natural leader, capable of ensuring high levels of coordination between multidisciplinary teams, the project team and key stakeholders.

Outside of work, Jody is kept active by his young family. You will often find him standing on the sideline at youth rugby, in and around Essex.
