Dan Lee joins Create’s Civil Engineering team as an Associate Director

We are thrilled to welcome Dan Lee to the business. Dan will join our Civil Engineering team and take on the role of Associate Director. As part of Barrie Anderson’s team, Dan will help our clients to plan, design and build their infrastructure projects, working on schemes across the UK.

It is an appointment which will help us to shape the future of our Civil Engineering team, as we look to expand its client base and technical capabilities. Dan’s detailed understanding of current building and design regulations, combined with his strong leadership capabilities and knowledge of budgetary governance and how this interacts with designing and planning projects, will no doubt greatly benefit our clients and business going forward.

He has over 20 years’ civil engineering experience and has previously held roles at national and regional engineering consultants. During this time, he has worked for public and private sector clients, delivering schemes across a range of sectors including oil and gas, rail, residential and commercial.

Prior to joining Create in December 2023, Dan was a Principal Civil Engineer for a specialist architectural, planning, engineering and renewables consultant, based in Colchester. While there he was responsible for managing a team of Civil Engineers and Technicians. The role saw him coordinate the delivery of technical appraisals for potential sites and complete a variety of technical requirements, ranging from drainage strategies and fee proposals to road and junction designs.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and lifting weights, which helps to somewhat balance out one of his other hobbies, good food! He also has a passion for cars and you will often find him at the front of the queue for the latest Marvel movie.
