Pooja Nair successfully completes BREEAM UK Non-Domestic Refurbishment and Fit-out course
We are thrilled to announce that Pooja Nair, having recently been promoted to the role of Senior Sustainability Consultant, has now qualified as a BREEAM UK Non-Domestic Refurbishment and Fit-Out (RFO) Assessor. This notable achievement comes just nine months after Pooja also qualified as a BREEAM Assessor for UK Non-Domestic New Construction.
At Create, we believe that appointing a qualified RFO Assessor early in the planning stage can have a major impact on a building’s overall performance, ensuring that design and refurbishment decisions are both practical and effectively implemented to maximise long-term benefits. Pooja will now work directly with project teams and clients to achieve or exceed their sustainability objectives, helping to mitigate the environmental impacts and improve the performance of their buildings.
“Pooja continues to challenge herself and improve her understanding of the built and natural environment. She is a great asset to our team and business. Her recent promotion combined with this qualification showcase her continued commitment to providing the very best sustainability advice, helping us to build a better world for future generations.”
Sunanda Swain, Technical Director (Sustainability)
The course was held by BRE Academy and was paid for by the business. The assessment process has required 30-hours of self-study and a 2-hour exam. It has been designed to provide Pooja with an understanding of a building’s actual performance, through measuring and assessing standards including the refurbishment of existing core and local services, the external envelope and structure, as well as the interior design of existing buildings. Throughout her course, Pooja was also required to work closely with already qualified assessors, where she has gained valuable experience on several RFO projects, reviewing submittals and preparing validation statements.
You can now find Pooja on BRE’s GreenBook live.
