Rethu Rathinam brings specialist Passivhaus and decarbonisation expertise to Create

March 02, 2026

We are thrilled to announce that Rethu Rathinam has joined Create as our newest Sustainability Consultant. Rethu brings a wealth of technical expertise and a deep passion for driving net-zero carbon solutions in the built environment.

Rethu holds an M.Sc. in Climate Resilience in Environmental and Sustainable Architecture (CRESTA) from the University of Liverpool. Prior to joining us, she served as a Sustainability Consultant at Ecospheric, where she specialised in providing technical input into Passivhaus and AECB certified buildings as well as large-scale decarbonisation strategies. She is also an OCDEA Accredited Assessor, bringing additional regulatory expertise in SAP assessments to our Sustainability team.

Having previously worked as a Junior Architect and Architectural Intern, Rethu provides a unique insight into how sustainability can be embedded at the very heart of a project. Her professional background in drafting MEP drawings and structural plans allows her to ensure architectural aesthetics are matched by rigorous environmental performance, with sustainability integrated into the core of every development she works on.

“Rethu has a proven track record delivering sustainability advice and technical support. Her experience spans from designing MEP systems to conducting complex whole-life carbon assessments. I’m looking forward to working with her – she is a great addition to our growing team.”
