April 21, 2026

Create is delighted to announce a number of promotions across the business, effective immediately. These promotions are thoroughly deserved, and we would like to thank Tom, Jon, and Josh for their continued hard work and contribution to the company’s success.

Tom Bennett promoted to Principal Geotechnical / Environmental Consultant

Tom has been an integral part of our Geo-environmental team since joining the business in 2019. Over that time, he has built a strong reputation for delivering technically robust solutions whilst maintaining excellent client relationships.

In his new role, Tom will take on increased responsibilities across project delivery and contribute to the growth and development of the team.

“Tom’s promotion reflects both his technical capability and his consistent approach to delivering high-quality work for our clients. He is a key member of the team, and I look forward to seeing him continue to develop in this role.”

Colin Buchanan, Technical Director

Jon Plastow promoted to Principal Civil Engineer

Since joining Create in 2012 as a CAD Technician, Jon has developed his technical expertise to become a highly capable engineer specialising in highways and infrastructure design. This promotion is a testament to his depth of knowledge and the quality of his work.

Jon has played a significant role in delivering projects for key clients, including Ørsted, where he has supported the delivery of the Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm – a major infrastructure scheme in our home county of Norfolk.

“Jon’s progression through the business has been excellent to see. His technical understanding and attention to detail are second to none, and this promotion is thoroughly deserved given his contribution to some of our most important projects.”

Barrie Anderson, Technical Director

Josh Gardner promoted to Senior Civil Engineer

After graduating from the University of Brighton with a first-class honours degree in Civil Engineering, Josh joined Create and has since become a key member of the Civil Engineering team. Over the past six years, he has established himself as a talented and well-respected engineer, known for his innovative thinking and ability to solve complex challenges, particularly in relation to drainage design.

In his new role, Josh will continue to build on this strong foundation, taking on greater responsibilities within the team.

“Josh’s development over the past six years has been impressive. He consistently brings creativity and strong technical ability to every project he undertakes. This promotion reflects the positive impact he continues to have across the business. We have no doubt that this next step will see Josh progress towards achieving full Member status with the Institution of Civil Engineers, and we look forward to supporting him on that journey.”
