Sunanda Swain joins our Sustainability team as an Associate Director
We are delighted to welcome Sunanda Swain to the business. Sunanda will take on the role of Associate Director within our Sustainability team.
Sunanda is a highly qualified environmental and sustainability consultant with over 24 yearsโ experience working in the UK, Australia, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and India.
Sunanda is a certified Lead Auditor for EMS ISO 14001, a LEED AP for Building Design / Construction and a BREEAM Accredited Professional (AP) / Assessor, responsible for providing a design team with expert advice on built environment sustainability, design and assessment. She can also carry out post-construction certification and ensure a project has met its sustainability targets.
Alongside her extensive green building certification experience, Sunanda provides a wide range of technical services and advice to support the feasibility, planning and design of projects. She is experienced in carrying out feasibility studies for decarbonisation, developing net zero road maps and sustainability programmes, GHG emission reporting, stakeholder engagement and the production of various construction and operational environmental management plans. Her robust environmental and sustainability skillset will greatly benefit our clients and their projects.
In 2015, Sunanda was a contributing author on โTechnical Guidelines for Retrofitting Existing Buildingsโ, which serves as a guide to industry professionals and building end-users in the UAE. The publication, compiled by Emirates GBC and written by volunteer members and stakeholders, was endorsed by the Ministry of Public Works and the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. During her time in Australia, she also contributed to the development of water management policy in Queensland.
Outside of work, Sunanda enjoys hiking and exploring different countries. She also writes articles and blogs on environmental and sustainability topics for several online publications.
