Mental Health Awareness Week 2025: Supporting Wellbeing at Create

May 15, 2025

Mental Health Awareness Week is a meaningful time to reflect on how we support our people. However, mental health isn’t something that we just focus on for this week. It is a yearlong obsession to ensure that our people are the best they can be, at home and at work.

One way we support this is through our open-door approach to work. We understand that life doesn’t always fit into a 9–17.30 schedule – and neither does good mental health. This flexible approach allows team members to work from home, the office, or wherever suits them best. All whilst still meeting the needs of our projects and clients. Although we will admit that we do place some limitations on working from other planets…

We truly believe that our open-door approach supports and encourages:

  • Better work-life balance
  • Reduced stress and commuting pressures
  • Improved focus and productivity
  • More open conversations about wellbeing

We also understand that wellbeing often comes from the small things that make a workplace feel more human. Whether it is bringing your dog into the office to brighten the day, or having the flexibility to make adjustments to your annual leave allowance when personal circumstances change, we aim to create a working environment that supports real life as well as project deadlines.

For us, mental health and company culture go hand in hand – which is why we’re committed to taking both seriously (while still having fun, of course).

We are committed to building a diverse, considerate working environment where honest and strong moral principles allow us to innovate and deliver for our clients. Our people are integral to this vision, and by supporting and encouraging one another, we stay true to what we stand for: positively impacting the built and natural environment, our communities, people, and planet.

“I’m proud that we’ve built a workplace where mental health is valued just as much as performance. Let’s keep talking and making space for what matters.”

Jonathan Cage, Managing Director
