Claire Burroughs joins our Water & Flood Risk team as an Associate Director
We are delighted to welcome Claire Burroughs to the business. Claire has joined as an Associate Director within our Water & Flood Risk team. She will adopt a hybrid working arrangement and be based in our London office.
Claire is a passionate civil and environmental engineer with over 10 years’ experience providing technical services and specialist advice to clients across all sectors. She has previous experience managing a team of engineers and has acted as part of a leadership team, where she was responsible for the development and growth of graduates, helping to nurture them during the early stages of their careers.
She has significant experience producing Flood Risk Assessments (FRA) and recommending Sustainable urban Drainage Systems (SuDS) for developments, which will greatly benefit our clients. Her project experience ranges from fluvial modelling on HS2 and FRA and outline SuDS for the Roots Hall Stadium Redevelopment in Southend to sequential testing allocated sites in support of the Hastings Development Plan. She is also highly skilled in software such as Flood Modeller, HEC-Ras, MicroDrainage and hydrologic analysis. She has recently completed the Property Flood Resilience Industry Training (from CIWEM, CIRIA and EA).
Claire is currently working towards Chartered Status and is the latest addition to our talented Water & Flood Risk team. She will work closely alongside Graham Sinclair, managing and mentoring the team.
When not working, Claire enjoys galivanting to new countries and is often found flying down mountains on her skis. When she’s in London, you’ll find her with friends, exploring art galleries or watching London Lions basketball.
