PFE Express has a state-of-the-art new home in Witham
Following more than two decades in Witham, PFE Express has completed its move into a new, purpose-built headquarters designed to support long-term growth, innovation and operational excellence.
Located adjacent to Waterside Business Park, the landmark logistics facility provides a sustainable, future-ready base that more than doubles the size of the company’s previous site.
Since 2022, Create has provided multidisciplinary consultancy services for the project, working collaboratively with the wider design team to support planning, design, construction and certification objectives. Our input spanned MEP Building Services, Acoustics and Sustainability consultancy, including the role of BREEAM Accredited Professional.
Designed by Cornish Architects and constructed by Harmonix Construction, the development delivers enhanced logistics capability alongside modern office, training and staff facilities. The project achieved a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating earlier this month, reinforcing PFE Express’ commitment to energy efficiency, sustainability and future-focused investment in its Essex operations.
“Harmonix Construction thoroughly enjoyed working with the Create team, who demonstrated real versatility throughout this comprehensive build. The team provided excellent support during the M&E design stages alongside Alan DeMerquis, and were equally strong across the BREEAM and BRUKL/EPC scopes, with Sunanda Swain proving incredibly helpful throughout.
At key planning stages, where significant reports and technical investigations were required, Ben Dixon was exceptionally proactive and supportive, ensuring high-risk planning conditions were successfully discharged. This was achieved through detailed reporting, robust investigations, and well-considered design and operational improvement recommendations.”
