Create announces two promotions effective immediately

Create are pleased to announce the promotion of two members of staff, effectively immediately. These promotions are thoroughly deserved, and we would like to say thank you to both Lewis and Pooja for their hard work.

Lewis MacLeod, Principal Civil Engineer has been promoted to the role of Associate Director (Civil Engineering).

Lewis has over 10 years’ experience supporting the planning, design and delivery of complex infrastructure schemes across the UK. He joined Create in 2019 as a Civil Engineer. Prior to this, Lewis had stints at AECOM and Jacobs.

Lewis will now take on a senior leadership role within the Civil Engineering team working closely with Barrie Anderson. In this new role Lewis will be responsible for the overall delivery of projects, quality assurance, managing a team of civil engineers, and acting as a key-point-of-contact for clients. As part of the senior leadership team, he will become more involved in commercial aspects of the business and develop a detailed understanding of operations and strategies. He will also take on responsibility for securing new workstreams and opportunities, helping to grow both the discipline and wider business.

Pooja Nair, Sustainability Consultant has been promoted to the role of Senior Sustainability Consultant.

Pooja joined Create in 2023 and has played a key role within the Sustainability team where she has continually produced high-quality technical reports and supporting documents for clients. She has also qualified as a BREEAM Assessor for UK Non-Domestic New Construction earlier this year.

In her new role as Senior Consultant, she will take on new responsibilities and play a larger role within the Sustainability team. Some of these responsibilities will include taking on more complex projects, leading liaison with clients and stakeholders, reviewing strategies and reports. Working closely with Sunanda Swain, Pooja will also look to support the growth of the discipline and wider business by carrying out business development activities and market research.
