Lewis Macleod

Principal Infrastructure Engineer

Lewis is a Civil Engineer with over 10 years’ experience supporting the planning, design and delivery of complex infrastructure schemes across the UK. He joined Create in 2019 as an Infrastructure Engineer and has since progress through to his current role.

Lewis is adept at highways, drainage and access design, and has successfully secured technical approval for dozens of Section 278, 38, 104, 106, and 185 agreements on projects across the UK. He has developed good relationships with utilities providers and has coordinated diversion work to enable projects to proceed. He has also undertaken the design of private drainage to both building control and NHBC standards, along with setting external private levels to satisfy building control standards.

Having previously worked in the water team at AECOM, and highways team at Jacobs, Lewis has a detailed understanding of how infrastructure interacts with the environment. This experience has allowed him to design robust highways and transport connections for our clients that consider environmental risks such as flooding.

Lewis is also highly proficient in the use of a variety of software, including CAD, PDS, Live Design, Flow, and PDS Sign. He has worked on a variety of schemes with us, ranging from commercial and retail developments to schools and healthcare facilities.

Outside of work, Lewis enjoys pc gaming and listening to music.
