Who is Ben?
Ben is a Principal Acoustic Consultant within our award-winning Acoustics team. He joined Create in 2018, having previously worked for Stroma as an Acoustic Engineer.
Before moving into consultancy, Ben spent six years working on site as a Dryliner, followed by a role as Main Stage Manager at BSTK Festival. He later returned to university to study Audio Technology and began his career in acoustic consultancy in 2014.
What Ben brings to our team?
Ben brings a unique combination of practical site experience and technical acoustic expertise. His background in live construction environments and music events provides valuable insight into how sound, noise, and vibration behave in real-world scenarios.
This, combined with his knowledge of architectural acoustics, enables him to develop and implement robust, practical mitigation strategies across a wide range of projects.
Outside of work
Ben is involved in music and audio production for personal, art and community projects. You can also find him mountain biking or in the gym.

A sustainable gas-free development comprising 70 new homes on the site of a former Murketts car dealership and unused workshop. Create provided multidisciplinary services to support the planning application, which received approval in September 2024.
A landmark mixed-tenure development in the heart of Cambridge, delivering 236 homes and community facilities. Create provided multidisciplinary services across the full project lifecycle for Cambridge Investment Partnership.
Timber Works, delivered for Cambridge Investment Partnership, comprises 118 new council homes, 177 market-sale homes, and a range of community amenities. We provided multidisciplinary consultancy services between 2018 and 2025.
