Paul is a project management, site acquisition and planning specialist with over 30 years’ experience supporting the delivery of landmark events (London 2012 and 2014 Commonwealth Games) and national infrastructure projects. He joined Create in 2018 as a Technical Director responsible for the growth, output and performance of our Transport & Highways and Air Quality teams.
Prior to joining Create, Paul gained experience at a regional energy developer in managing the full life cycle of a project, taking responsibility for finding sites, conceptual development, planning, design and construction. These full life cycle schemes often involved close coordination between multiple parties, ranging from in-house specialists to external consultants, appointed contractors, network providers, stakeholders and authorities.
Paul’s experience has provided him with an in-depth understanding of UK planning regulations and Development Consent Orders (DCO), which has enabled him to build a repeat client base through maximising project assets and objectives. He is adept at acting as the main interface between clients and approving authorities, key stakeholders and other investors.
When not at work, Paul likes to spend time with his wife and daughters. He enjoys travel and can often be found attending a variety of events, such as the Formula One or Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
