Who is James?
James is a Principal Civil Engineer within our Civil Engineering team. He joined Create in January 2026, having previously worked at Arthur Consultancy Services, where he contributed to a range of infrastructure and highways projects. Prior to this James spent eighteen months at Norfolk County Council, training as a Highways Technician and contributing to the North Distributor Road – a major infrastructure project in Norwich. He began his career in engineering consultancy in 2016.
What James brings to our team
James brings strong technical capability in highways and drainage design, with experience across residential, industrial and infrastructure projects. He is highly proficient in Civil 3D and drainage design software, and has experience supporting Section 38, 104 and 278 submissions, as well as coordinating multidisciplinary design inputs. His experience across both consultancy and local authority environments enables him to navigate approval processes effectively and support efficient project delivery.
Outside of work
James enjoys spending time with family and keeping active, playing football for his local team.
