Amrie Singh

Flood Risk Consultant

Amrie joined Create in 2022 and is part of our Water & Flood Risk team. She is an expert user of QGIS and ArcGISPro, skilled in both technical and scientific writing with strong publication history.

Amrie is ICE’s new water futures ambassador after winning the grand prize at the Water Futures Challenge event in July 2022. She is adept at the use of modelling as a risk assessment tool for Water Resource Management, and can present and explain modelling data and outputs to clients and stakeholders. She is also highly skilled with hydrological modelling software such as TUFLOW, Infoworks ICM, LISFLOOD, HEC-RAS, SWAT+, Itzi and Flood Modeller Pro.

Amrie is in the final stages of a PhD degree at the University of Leeds, which has focussed on flood modelling using a variety of software packages and her skills learnt throughout this degree are assisting her greatly in the workplace.

Outside of work, Amrie plays the piano and enjoys cooking.
