Mat joined our Acoustics team in 2021 as a Senior Acoustic Consultant and has since progressed to his current role. Prior to joining Create, Mat developed his skillset at Adrian James Acoustics starting with small scale reverberation assessments and pre-completion testing on projects, before later developing his understanding of acoustics to undertake complex environmental acoustic assessments and more intricate building acoustic design. Since joining Create, Mat has worked on projects across the UK and supported several expert witnesses with report writing. Mat is a proactive Member of the Institute of Acoustics (IoA) and the Association of Noise Consultants (ANC), sitting on the ANC Sustainability Committee and contributing to technical matters for the IoA.
Mat brings technical expertise in noise modelling software and can use specialist field equipment such as Norsonic and AVA for site work. He is adept at detailed environmental assessments, acoustic modelling and multistage building acoustic design. He places a strong emphasis on innovative materials and out-of-the-box thinking to solve acoustic challenges. His contributions to the business have helped expanded our in-house capabilities and resulted in Create becoming a full corporate member of the ANC.
Mat can be found tinkering in his garage on various personal projects or learning a new groove on his guitars.
