Electrical Building Services Engineers (Senior, Principal and Associate levels)
To support the ongoing expansion of our MEP Building Services team, we are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Electrical Building Services Engineers of Senior, Principal and Associate level to join our dynamic team.
The successful candidates will get the opportunity to work on projects across the UK with like-minded individuals. They will also play a crucial role in the growth of the discipline and directly input into its expansion in the future. Your new role, what’s involved?
- Design, manage and deliver full electrical design on a wide range of projects.
- Liaise with statutory authorities in all matters affecting their incoming services to buildings.
- Overseeing and supervising the installation of electrical building systems.
- Preparing high quality information including technical specification, designs, drawings, schedules, reports.
- Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, builders, architects and surveyors, etc.
- Preparing budget costs for client consideration and drawing up tender documentation.
- Attending sites to undertake surveys and provide relevant reports.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- A relevant (BSc, MSc, etc.) or equivalent degree in Building Services Engineering or a related field.
- Relevant and proven experience in a similar consultancy role.
- An understanding and ability to implement the principles of CDM throughout your design work.
- An understanding of RIBA work stages and the technical requirements of each stage.
- Good communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire confidence, both in your peers and clients.
- Excellent numerical proficiency with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, an ability to analyse and sort complex data.
- Experience with relevant or specialist design software such as Amtech, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to adapt your writing to our requirements. This includes the production of presentations, reports, letters and marketing material for both internal and external use.

- You are a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (MCIBSE), Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) or equivalents.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

HOW WE BREAKDOWN OUR LEVELS
Graduate – 0-2 years’ experience with a relevant degree.
Engineer / Technician – 2-5 years’ experience in the role or similar with some technical expertise and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Senior Engineer / Technician – 5-8 years’ experience in the role or similar with a developing set of skills, clearly identifiable technical expertise and direct experience of managing projects, coordinating with clients and supporting other team members.
Principal Engineer / Technician – 8 or more years’ experience in the role or similar with a robust set of skills, proven technical expertise and an ability to lead projects, coordinate with clients and support other team members.
Associate Director – Substantial experience in the role with recognised technical expertise, the ability to lead multiple large projects, coordinate with clients, support and develop other team members and secure future workstreams/projects for the discipline.
