Xenia is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transport (FCIHT) with over 15 years’ experience in academia and the private sector and involvement in sustainable urban mobility, transport accessibility, active travel and multidisciplinary research. She joined Create in 2022 as an Associate Director and provides technical knowledge to our Transport & Highways team.
Throughout her career, Xenia has worked closely alongside national governments and local authorities, advising them on highways and transportation challenges. She employs innovative techniques for the development of policies and strategies that will achieve modal shift, improve people’s health and well-being and shape future mobility.
Xenia provides Create with robust critical thinking and project management skills, which enable her to drive a project from concept and feasibility stages, right through to completion. Her experience covers transport planning, big data analysis, environmental and economic appraisals, community engagement and behaviour change interventions. She is passionate about human centric transport and focuses her work on inclusivity, accessibility and decarbonisation.
Adept at stakeholder and public engagement, Xenia often acts as the lead contact on behalf of clients. Working for clients across the globe, Xenia has authored numerous transport related proposals, developed cost plans, and coordinated programmes on behalf of a wide variety of public and private sector clients.
Outside of work Xenia enjoys exploring the world and expanding her list of favourite wines.
